Holiday Spirit
The Christmas Carols are playing, the wassail is brewing and all is well with the world. Except for one minor detail….I have not purchased a single Christmas gift aside from those for my nieces and nephew. Yikes, it is time to step this up into high gear. So this morning I compiled my Christmas shopping list – which had been brewing in my mind for a couple of weeks- and committed it to paper. Thus Friday will be the day of Christmas Shopping!
I’m looking forward to the holiday. Christmas is always such a special time of year. In my family it is not about the gifts, but rather about spending time together baking, talking, eating, talking and of course watching lots of movies which my Dad selects. My dad knows just what each of us watch and it is always such a pleasure to come home and to see the selections sitting next to the TV – and to realize that he saved them out especially for us. And inevitably they are perfect for each person. It is just what we do in the evenings when we are all at home.
This coming Wednesday Sarah, Ryan and I will celebrate our Christmas together before everyone “splits” for the holiday. I hope they like what I have in mind for them!!
